The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic development is asking for a donation of a vacation package for a couple (lodging, golf, meals, boat, or anything else you offer) for a week as the grand prize of a "Passport to Minnesota" promotion at the world’s largest wind power conference and trade show, Windpower 2009. Last year 13,000 attended, and the show has doubled every year. The show this year will be in Chicago’s McCormick Place May 4-7, 2009. For general information about the show, go to www.awea.org.

We will need your commitment by Monday, April 6, 2009.

Minnesota will host a 20′x30′ pavilion at the show, sponsored and staffed by representatives of 40 Minnesota companies, communities and business service firms. Besides that, roughly 40 Minnesota companies have their own exhibits in the show. (There will be more than 800 exhibitors world-wide.)

In order to reinforce the Minnesota presence at the show and encourage attendees to visit as many Minnesota companies as possible, we are running a "Passport to Minnesota" promotion. Our graphic designer has come up with a very attractive little booklet with a box for each exhibitor. Attendees will take these books from one Minnesota company’s booth to the next, collecting stamped impressions as they go. Then they will bring the book to our pavilion to entered a raffle for a one-week Minnesota vacation for two — hopefully at your resort.

We will distribute your brochures and list you as a sponsor on the signage at the booth of each Minnesota exhibitor.

Again, time is very short, so if you are interested, or have questions, please call Dentley Haugesag at 651-259-7437. He needs a commitment by next week.
