The Southern Minnesota Tourism Association (SMTA) is a tourism promotional organization made up of representatives from the 36 counties in the geographic area identified as the Southern Minnesota Region. The organization holds five meetings per year with a educational workshop held in conjunction with the meetings. All meetings are open to any interested persons.

- February 16, 2012 — Springfield
- May 10, 2012 — Windom
- July 19, 2012 — Worthington
- September 13, 2012 — Owatonna
- November 15, 2012 — Faribault
