More to Minnesota Discount Program

The Republican National Convention will bring approximately 45,000 guests, including national media and opinion leaders from around the country to the Twin Cities late this summer. This is a major opportunity to showcase our area, and, because many of these people are also leaders in their community or organizations back home, we also have an opportunity to turn them into ambassadors for future business to Minnesota.
The Minneapolis St. Paul Host Committee (MSPHC), which is a non-profit organization formed to help promote Minnesota as part of the Republican National Convention, is developing a special convention program called “More to Minnesota GOParty.” This program is designed to attract these convention goers to come to Minnesota beginning a week before the convention so they can experience all our state has to offer.
One of the best incentives will be to provide quality discounts at stores, services, restaurants and attractions. The Host Committee has developed the “More to Minnesota Discount Program.” Participation is free and all participants will be listed in the Pocket Guide sent to all attendees. Discount offers must be at least 20% and will be valid August 23rd-September 7, 2008. National Convention attendees will present the “More to Minnesota GOParty Card” to qualify them for the discounts.
The deadline for committing to participate in the Discount Program is Friday, March 14, 2008. The Official Guide and Pocket Guide will be mailed to delegates, alternates, guests and media by late spring, so they can start planning their early visits to Minnesota.
