  • The Sunday December 16 Chicago Tribune printed a feature "Eagle Season: The return of the real snowbirds," in which writer Dennis McCann chronicles the increase in bald eagle intensity around the south shore of the Mississippi River near Red Wing. The story also showcases the new National Eagle Center at Wabasha.
  • "From wilderness mushing to fireside lounging," originally published in the Star Tribune and written by Chris Welsch, was picked up and run on December 30 in the Travel Section of West Hawaii Today, Kailua Kona, HI
  • The December issue of Dave Training magazine included the Split Rock Lighthouse area on a list of dive sites in the "diving usa" feature by Gene Centrup.
  • American Way magazine, inflight of American Airlines, included Minneapolis stuff in a list of "What to Do, What to Do..s" in the November issue.
  • On November 29 www.Time.com published a story "A Great Time to Shop-for Foreigners," which featured shopping in Minnesota.
  • Writer Laura Daily’s Dallas Morning News (Sunday, November 18) story, "Flights of fancy for the holidays," tells about the special entertainment at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.
