The February 15 weekend edition of USA Today featured a story, “Dog sledding keeps gliding along, snow or no snow,” with mention of Ely’s Wintergreen Dogsled Lodge and its lodge to lodge camping package.
The Mason City Globe Gazette’s January 10 edition carried a story telling about programs at the Bakken Museum in Minneapolis.
The January Adventure Cyclist lists the Top Ten Touring Areas in North America, including trails along Minnesota’s North Shore.
The March 2008 National Geographic Adventure’s “Live+Play” department contains a feature, “Life on the Boundary,” telling about things to do, places to visit, the scene and where to stay. Will Steger was quoted in the story.
The Sunday, February 3 edition of the Chicago Tribune published a feature, “Skijoring: Dog Sledding without the sled.” The Sunday, January 20 Chicago Tribune has “Baying for Snow,” feature about the importance of snow to activities in the northwoods.
