The Minnesota Heartland Tourism Association will hold its spring meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at the newly restored Historic Depot in Wadena. This is a chance to see how a community worked together to develop opportunities for their historic landmark.

The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. with community and business updates. It’s a great time for others to tell about what is happening in your community and to hear from others in the Northcentral/West Region.

Information will be presented on the Regional Positioning Project with time for discussion and input. The Explore Minnesota Tourism Council asked Explore Minnesota Tourism to review how we market regional areas. A task force was formed and has been working hard to review regional designations. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear updates on this important work.

A guided one-half hour walking tour of downtown Wadena to view “Alley Art” will be provided. Come see how local artists are beautifying the alleys and buildings in downtown Wadena.

The registration fee is $15/person and includes lunch. An RSVP is necessary. Please RSVP by Friday, April 4, 2008, to 888/629-6466 or Email: Sandra.anderson@state.mn.us.
