What Explore Minnesota Tourism offers: Organizational partnership grants are available to use in marketing programs that will attract nonresident travelers to the state. Partnership grant funding can be used for advertising, trade and sports shows, familiarization tours, direct mail, international sales missions and research. The maximum grant amount awarded for 2009 grants was $12,000.
Who could benefit from this service: nonprofit tourism-promotion organizations, including statewide organizations
Qualifications: organizations must represent a single facet of the travel industry, or be a local organization representing all facets of the travel industry and designated as the primary tourism promotion organization for a city or community
Due By: Partnership grant guidelines are available in July, with applications due in October.
Cost: Organizations are required to provide at least 60% of the total project cost

Notes: This program also allows up to 25% of the grant awarded to be used for in-state advertising. Partnership Grant Guidelines are updated each year - use the 2009 guidelines as a resource for the types of eligible projects and application process, however, maximum grant amounts and specific requirements are always subject to change.
