Explore Minnesota Tourism conducted the first Bicycle Tourism Summit in partnership with:
 Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota  Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota  Minnesota Department of Transportation |
 Minnesota Department of Natural Resources  National Park Service |
The goal of the summit was to bring together tourism organizations, government officials, trail associations, lodging and local businesses to learn and work together more effectively in promoting bicycle tourism. The summit proved to be a resounding success, with over 150 attendees from throughout the state with many different tourism and bike-related organizations and businesses represented.
